The continent of jove- the land of the skies
Solis
Solis is an ancient nation that often puts itself synonymous to the "Land of the sun". While it is easily the most prosperous of the four primary nations, it was also known for being one of the primary aggressors towards the beastkin races. It is of a relatively warm climate, making it wonderful for both agricultural and trade purposes. the land is rather flat, so they are often forced to import iron ore and other essential metals from Sidus. They have closed all doors of commerce to Lunae, seeing their full alliance with beastkin peoples and their warlike nature as a threat to peace. They share a border with lunae, by way of an aptly-named waterway known as "the strait of blood". Solis fought a great war with Lunae that lasted for over fifty years, a bloody conflict that caused sidus to be created. This war was a border dispute that took a turn for the worse when lunae attempted a hostile takeover of solis after the latter's army was weakened, wanting the land for themselves to enforce a policy of Luanism as well as a human-beastkin equality policy on solis, seeing their morals as backward... (or so the government will have you believe). Solis was able to defend itself and keep its border at the Strait of Blood, but has since taken up an isolationist policy and closed their gates to all nations but Sidus.

Lunae is an equally ancient nation populated by a mixture of humans and beastkin. Often known as the "Land of the moon", they are an imperialistic empire that wishes to take other, smaller islands and nations into their grasp. Though, perhaps that is an overgeneralization- the more gentle villagers at the country's edges are far less warlike. lunaeans believe that humans and beastkin peoples should live in harmony together without any difference in class. While they were, are, and could likely forever be enemies with Solis, they have always kept peace towards Sidus. In a past era, war was raged against Solis that took many lives from both sides- Lunae contests that they were disillusioned with the abuse taking place in Solis towards Solite beastkin, who had since migrated to Sidus for sanctuary. While Lunae did indeed want the land for money and resources in a time of economic crisis, they also wished to teah Solites their faith and "true" ways... (Or so the emperor would have you think.) While Lunae was not able to win the war against Solis and the borders remain, tides are once again rising as war threatens to begin anew.

Sidus was a sanctuary for beastkin and humans from both sides of the past conflict, who made a pact to part from the ways of both nations and innovate with their own ideas.
