Appearance//

Ekaterina Vladen is a woman that has been quite blessed in her physical growth. Standing at a height of 6' 1", Ekaterina is quite tall for a woman. She has a head of light violet hair, her long locks reaching down to her mid-back. Her eyes are a deep violet in coloration, a few shades below that of her hair. She has pale skin and an hourglass figure that would speak to some manner of noble birth, or so one might assume. Altogether, she has an alluring look about herself.

Clothing/Armor:
Ekaterina is a woman who dresses for style rather than any sort of function. Unless one counts seduction, in which case she dresses quite functionally. Wearing an alluring black and gold ensemble, it is clearly made of high quality material and she accessories it further with a set of long gloves that reach to her upper arms, as well as a set of thigh-high boots, and a black cape cut with a jagged pattern across the bottom. Her most notable accessory though is that wide-brimmed and pointed hat that she wears atop her head, a silver crown adorning it.

Personality//

Ekaterina Vladen can be an easy person to get along with, but she can also be quite difficult to deal with on a personal level as well. A woman who follows her passions and desires, she has a somewhat hedonistic mentality when it comes to her pursuits. Primarily, Ekaterina is quite lustful for knowledge and the advancement that is possible from a more advanced understanding of magical theory. She also has a more physical desire in her love of pretty girls and beautiful women, a desire that's left a few heartbroken ladies along the way. In truth, this actually shows the level of selfishness that Ekaterina can produce.

However, Ekaterina is not a cruel woman by nature. While she is quite self indulgent and even somewhat vain, she does have her own way of caring about those that attract her notice. As she is not in pursuit of a true romance, she will often break off a relationship if it is leading to that point. She is also quite indulgent in pleasing her target of affection with lovely pieces of jewelery or fascinating magical baubles.

In truth though, her real pursuits still lie within her search for magical knowledge. And in this, she is relentless. Ekaterina will fiercely pursue any lead that comes her way and will not be afraid of using violence, even if she has a strong disliking for it. Nonetheless, Ekaterina will not stop until she has what she seeks in hand.

History//

Despite what might be thought of her, Ekaterina Vladen's past is actually a surprisingly simple one. Perhaps it is because she has such an air of mystery about her or the way that she dresses in finery, but one might expect her to have a dark past or to be the black sheep of a noble family. In truth however, Ekaterina is no more than the daughter of a simple farmer and his wife. Born into the peasentry of imperial Lunae, the young girl always held a fascination for the ways of magic that her simple living parents just didn't really understand. While they didn't understand however, they still encouraged their daughter in her pursuits as magically inclined individuals were not an uncommon sight amongst the grand nation.

In time, Ekaterina would go on to become a Dark Mage. Studying the elder arts, she became fascinated by both the "Dark" and Anima schools. Seeing ways that each could be used to fascilitate new ideas, Ekaterina was enthralled. She began to pursue various magical tomes filled with information and lore of bygone eras. In this regard, she decided to leave the nation of Lunae and take up residence in the nation of Sidus where she believed she could more easily acquire the sort of items she sought due to the peaceful nation's booming economy. As Sidus traded with both Lunae and Solis, this meant that alot of items cycled through the middle nation.

However, she realized that she would need to bide her time. In this regard, Ekaterina made a home for herself in the capital city. Though at first a simple scholar of the arcane, she began to develop into an apothecary that brewed up herbal remedies and other medicines. Though such a business would never last her properly. Eventually the so-called Shadow Witch had bought and now runs a bookstore in the capital. She uses it as something of a front in obtaining new tomes or other novels that peak her interest while also making some cash by selling the novels or tomes that have since lost her own interest. Her acquisition and bartering off of rarer tomes have also brought her a tidy profit margin. This has allowed her to buy up a sizable two-story house, though she currently lives alone in the large residence and uses most of the rooms as storage spaces for various things that she's picked up over the years, including her own personal library.
