❊ Lunae's Ruler ❊
Ridiculously young. That's originally what they had called him. Aloysius was the youngest ruler Lunae had ever seen, at age fifteen. But he was a step up from his idiotic, bumbling father. He hadn't inherited a single trait from his father, instead looking much more like his mother. Perhaps it had been Bellona who inherited most of his traits. The first heir to Lunae's throne had been killed--at Aloysius's hands. And the second, as well as the third had met very similar ends, leaving Aloysius to take over the throne by force. He could laugh at their demises, and at how foolish and small-minded they had been. The young royal made his way through the streets of the small port city, where he was to meet the mayor or leader or whatever of the town.
"Merla!" He cried in exasperation, a bratty pout on his face as he jumped up and down. "You're much too slow! It'll be nighttime when we get there!" He scolded his much older accomplice, who had been gazing at the different shops and boutiques. "We'll go shopping later..." He offered as though it was a promise. "Not!" He revoked immediately. Not like Merla would believe him in the first place. The small boy's heeled boots weren't doing very well on the cobblestone street. It would have been better to wear more practical footwear, but Aloysius was counting on Merla to serve his every whim. The "raven beastkin" moved to catch up with Aloysius, longer strides easily able to move faster than the disturbed blonde. "There!" He pointed towards a wheelbarrow at the side of the street. "You'll wheel me to where we're supposed to go!"
"It-It looks like it belongs to someone." Merla stated weakly, but still defiantly. The blonde pouted again, but knew that whoever owned that wheelbarrow wouldn't be happy with them. If they stole it, it certainly wouldn't help his popularity in the town. Even though no one really noticed or recognized him as their country's almighty leader. Aloysius gave a heavy sigh, realizing he'd have to walk the rest of the way, across town.
"It's gross here and smells like fish." The blonde stated, as though disgusted and angered. Another ranting tantrum would come soon if something wasn't done to appease him. Why did I even come here in the first place? ...Because he had never been in the port city before, and thought it would be fun to explore, even though it was turning out to be the exact opposite of fun for the both of them. Aloysius grumbled under his breath as Merla patted him on the shoulder in some effort to console him--and to prevent another outburst. Aloysius's carriage was outside of the town, the rest of his escorts had been promptly left at the gates. They would only crowd and draw more unnecessary attention... But Merla was incredibly powerful, and Aloysius was as well. Aloysius, although weaker physically, was incredibly fast and magically powerful.
